Full term!!!

Little Miss is full term as of today. So now it's just the waiting game to see how much activity will happen in the next couple weeks.

I honestly think she is going to come out at 9+lbs and probably not until October. Shes dropping for sure. Everyday I look lower and lower and I can feel it. She still loves to sit her little butt in my rib cage though. Apparently that is her hang out.

What I am looking forward to the most though is that come December, I will have the go ahead to start working out and running again. And I am REALLY excited about it. Like so much so its kinda lame!

So excited in fact that the above stroller is the only one I am purchasing. I won't be using it for awhile given the weather around here (and I just can't stand those stroller covers) but I will be breaking that out the minute its nice out.

I know its going to be a hard road. I mean getting back into running is long and tiresome to begin with. Now let's add in having not been able to for 9 months and all the extra baby fluff. But I am bound and determined to do it! I am thinking I might do the St Paddy's Day 5k Walk this year too. N thinks I should do the run again with her but I don't know. What do you think? You think I'd be able to train that hard in 2 months?

Bi-Weekly Menu Sept 17th-Sept 28th

I have made a menu for the first time in....

man I can't even tell you how long.

But here it is. So Running With the Girls, your family can eat again! :-P

Baked French Toast
Diced Ham and Eggs
Steak Fingers with Gravy
Chicken Teriyaki, Rice and Steamed broccoli
Orzo with Parm and Basil
Crockpot Chicken Ceaser Sandwiches
T-Bone Steaks with Hotel Butter
Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit Casserole
Best Macaroni Salad Ever
Bacon, Egg and Cheese Wreath
White Chicken Cheddar Pasta
Tex-Mex Chicken Soup
Bacon-Chicken Crescent Ring Bake
Scalloped Potatoes and Ham
Tater Tot Casserole

Course, since I will be 36 weeks on Friday, I MIGHT have Little Miss before then. I doubt it since my last OB appt showed that she is making ZERO effort to try and come out. Before my midwife was thinking I wouldn't make it to 37 weeks. Now she's thinking that she might just stay in the entire 40 weeks. Given how large she is, I really hope not!!!

Meet My Girl....

Nope haven't had her yet.

But I have had those awesome 3D ultrasounds. Not gonna lie, a BIG reason I picked the practice I did (besides totally loving all the midwives there!!!).

Meet Little Miss Madelyn Grace.

They have her estimated to be about 6.5lbs already (give or take 12 oz). She has a big ole head like her brother. Long arms and long legs (which I feel in all parts of my insides). A full head of hair already and since I still have 6 more weeks, there will more then likely be LOTS of it. Long eyelashes already and most definetly STILL a girl.

Just 6 more weeks and she is finally here.

Wow.

That time just flew by huh?

OH and here is me the other night after my maternity pictures were taken.

I.

Am.

Huge.

Update on Little Miss (32 weeks!!!)

So Little Miss will be here soon. I am due in October but midwife's exact words were "IF we can get you to 37 weeks then she can come at any time and I will be happy." She has already dropped. She is HUGE. With Little Man I had a ton of extra fluid (I had gestational diabetes) so I never was able to go "Oh that is a leg", "oh this is his butt". With this one, I can. Like currently she is punching down below and she keeps rolling around. My stomach looks like she is playing Dance Party Revolution in there (which she won't since I am jamming to Journey and she always gets really excited when that comes on). She gets the hiccups all the time. Which I guess is a good sign according to my midwife because it means her lungs are developing nicely. Except it makes her insanely mad. She starts kicking nonstop. She punches hard. She does NOT like it. Honestly, she better come out with some red hair because this little girl is FIESTY. She has my temper already. Oh man.

And here I am. About ready to pop. I look like major crap because I am sleeping MAYBE 3-4 hours a night (sciatica is an awesome ailment, let me tell you :()....

32 weeks, 33 tomorrow.

5 Month Pregnancy Update

So I am 23 weeks on Friday. Nearing the end of my 2nd trimester faster then I can imagine. I don't remember it flying by this fast with Little Man. Course when I look like this:

Hard to not wish it would hurry up and be October! Little Miss is incredibly active lately. And I really do think she's going to be long as all get out. She is already kicking high in my ribs and she most defiantly already has a sleep pattern. Like right now shes quiet but just half an hour ago she was kicking and rolling up a storm.

I feel amazing. Except for this heartburn. They put me on Zantac because it's so bad (like they did with Little Man) and even that is not working. She better come out with a full head of jet black hair cause man oh man, this is killing me!

I am going with this bedding for her nursery:

And I absolutely LOVE it but I am worried that I won't continue to love it. So I have been trying to find a more girlie set. Yeah..not working. Everything that I want to get is either browns, cremes or greens. Nothing is crazy and over the top pink or lavender. And it seems that is ALL that is out there nowadays for girls. That is immensely cute for clothes. But for everyday stuff? Nah. I would hate it. Something so non significant to worry about and it has me all sorts of worried. Nice huh?

Little Girl Clothes...

So when it comes to kids clothes, baby boy clothes (IMO) are cute to a certain point. But once they hit that toddler stage its all the same stuff. Polos, khaki shorts, jeans, button downs, Bermuda shorts, tshirts. They very much look like little men. So buying clothes for Little Man is quite easy. It really is. I mostly shop at Children's Place or Old Navy for him because like I said..little man clothing.

Then I found out I was having a girl.

And that...is bad.

I never really looked at little girl clothing before because I didn't have one. I have bought a couple friends some outfits for their girls but nothing crazy. Then when I got pregnant with this one, I just knew it was a girl. I was drawn to the girl clothing. I was drawn to the cute dresses and the crochet hats with the big ole flower on the side:

Like are you for real?? HOW FREAKING CUTE!!!

Then you have stores like Carters and Gymboree. OH...WOW. I think my only saving grace right now is that all the stores have their summer stuff out and I can't buy that stuff right now. I am in the market for fall/winter so I have a couple more months until I am like OMFG!

Course that doesn't stop me from buying these: (Yes had to share cause look how freaking cute!!!)

The onesie....

The bottoms that matches it (also comes with a short sleeve onesie that says "Daddy's Girl"

Outfits I bought the day I found out she was a girl.
 Yeah...I'm in trouble.....

Quick Update on the Baby....

We found out Thursday morning that we are going to be welcome a baby...

GIRL!

I KNEW it was a girl!! And I am so excited to be able to welcome a little Princess into my life. She was showing off for the camera so she is already a little ham. Arms were over her face, she was stretching, rolling, had her arm over her chin, legs were all over the place, she was chasing the doppler with kicks while the Tech tried to get pictures. The cutest, and by far the coolest, thing I saw was her yawning. Big ole yawn while looking right at the doppler. I'm head over heels in love already and I can't wait to meet her!!! They said everything is looking extremely healthy which is a HUGE difference since at our big ultrasound with Little Man, we were told that he might have Downs Syndrome. And apparently she is really really long for her gestational age. She said that her height was in the 75th percentile already. Thinking we don't need NB clothes like we did with Little Man!  (She must know I am talking about her because I just got the first good morning kicks!)

Here she is....

Profile shot with her hand over her head.

I'll post again once I get home. I was nominated for a blog award and will be doing the same thing for my fellow readers! Also need to set up that awesome giveaway from Coco Vita!!!

Three Things Thursday: Ah, randomness.

1. Gas prices are really starting to kill me. The cheapest is 4.09$ in the city of Tacoma...AT COSTCO. Thank goodness we have a Costco membership but when you start seeing gas prices at 4.25$ a gallon ON base, you start to get ill. The worst part about it is there is NO reason, AT ALL, for gas prices to be this high. Ugh.

2. Not feeling kicks on the outside yet but from about 6pm on, this little Gummy Bear is extremely active. Its interesting that I can feel kicks inside but when I put my hand where its happening, I feel nothing. Can't wait to feel the first real "HELLO! I AM HERE!!!" kick. Ha! I say that now....

3. Finally finished Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin last night. I wouldn't put it down until it was done (I only had 100 pages). So today I start Storm of Swords, the 3rd book in the series so far. Not gonna lie, starting to kinda dread starting the 4th and 5th ones. I heard they weren't that great so I am like "Oh...great." I hope they are wrong. Let's see how far I can through this book before my Advanced English Comp class books get here. I bet like 200 pages! (Out of 973!)

Quick Update on Me!

My lack of posting is because of school. Every single day I am doing an hour or more of homework. Fun times let me tell you. Plus housework. PLUS Little Man's activities and his school. Yes..life needs to slow down for a minute please!

I had my 17 week check up on the 9th. Baby is healthy, heartbeat is 154. I am measuring 2 weeks ahead which is perfectly normal. My genetic testing came back all normal (for Downs, Trisonomy 18 and Neural Tube Defects). This is going to be a healthy baby! My anatomy ultrasound is scheduled for the 31st so soon we shall know what this little person is!

I am 18 weeks today but here is a picture I took before my appt on Wednesday!

Gotta love the towel! I literally had just gotten out of the shower. 17 weeks belly shot.

Mommy Topic #2: Buying the Crib

Buying a crib shouldn't be stressful. It really shouldn't. I know what kind I like. I know what I want. I should be able to walk into a store and buy it right?

Wrong.

When you walk into Babies R Us, there in the center of the store is all their "nursery" setups. And those cribs are BEAUTIFUL. You run your hands over the wood and look at the cute little designs and then your eyes fall on the price tag...

540$ for this beautiful bad boy...
Then add in crib mattress, then bedding and you are looking at about 1000$ for JUST the crib part of your babyhood.

Then it hits me. They get ya with this because everyone has the perfect nursery in their head. They want it to be grand and beautiful. But honestly, does the baby really care if there are roses on the headboard? Do they care if its cherry wood or black? Heck no. That is for your pleasure purely! And with me having to buy every single other thing for this bambino/bambina, I just ain't having it! SO we put ourselves on a budget for the crib. And honestly, I am happy with it. Its more about the mattress (IMO) then if a crib is going to last you into toddlerhood. Those Lifetime cribs are beautiful yes. But the more times you move, the more destroyed they become. And we move. A LOT.

So like the bedding, you can pick our crib. I have one in mind that I am so torn and so want. The colors at this point are flexible but thinking either all black or all espresso. Guess we shall see when it's time to buy!

Crib Option #1:

The crib, not the dresser. I love how sleek and straight it is. Very modern.
Crib Option #2:

Definetly a favorite. Wanted this crib for Little Man but got something else.
Crib Option #3:

Simple yet adorable.
So which do you think? I love them all. Can't I have one on each floor of my house?

30 Day Yoga Challenge

BRiley is my total yoga guru. She swears by it. Got her man into it. She even does hot yoga like 20+ times a month. (Can we say BA??) Hearing her talk about how much she loves it AND how easy it is to at home...I ended up in an auction for a friend's preschool.

I won. I got a yoga for beginners DVD and a super pretty mat.

I love the design on it!
I have done it a few times and really love some of the poses. BUT since getting pregnant, I can't do just regular yoga anymore. I really want to stay active because having talked to some of you ladies, its going to help me in the long run for delivery AND post partum. Plus I have told N that once the baby is here, I want to start doing yoga classes and possibly inch my way into hot yoga with BRiley. (I know when she reads this, she will squeal because she's been trying to get me to go for a LONG time now!). Running is great cardio but you need something you can stretch your muscles out. Plus having a newborn at home, I mean really how much workout time am I gonna get the first couple months? Oh wait...probably none. So yoga...heck yeah.

I saw on another blog I read about the 30 Day Yoga Challenge and instantly signed up. This is a way to stay accountable and actually get into the yoga groove. Its only 30 mins a day, I am sure all of us have 30 mins somewhere in our day we can commit to that. Plus its getting me active, once again, without always have to hit the gym (where I can only walk...fun times....not). So sign up with me...I triple dog dare ya!

(Note: I had to order a prenaatal yoga DVD so I will be 2 days behind. Think I am gonna look on the net for some yoga poses I can do while pregnant!)

Whats for dinner? Tonight I am having Pioneer Woman's Chicken Soup. NOM!

Momma Topic #1: Crib Bedding

Well I survived having my tooth yanked. Literally took me like 15 minutes in there. Took longer to drive there then it did to yank it out. Now its just making sure that it heals and no dry sockets. Ewie.

First Momma topic on this week is the wonderful crib decor!!

Having children that are 7 years apart means that you have really absolutely nothing from the previous child (unless you kept it all which honestly, not sure how many people actually do that?). Which in turn means that you are spending quite a bit of money on stuff the baby needs (or really what will make your life easier!!). There is a growing pile of baby stuff that is just waiting to be put in its proper place once the nursery is set up (which not buying furniture until the gender is revealed) so that will still be another month. BUT it kinda looks like this (please ignore the bookcase in my room, its supposed to be for my textbooks but the bottom shelves has become my catch all bookcase):

Lots of things this little one needs and I am not even halfway through buying stuff!!!

ANYWAY back to the topic at hand...nursery decor. I am letting you awesome readers pick which ones we will use for boy or girl! I have it limited it down to 2 each and honestly, can't decide. So here goes:

Boy Choices:

Pirate Party

Monsters
Girl Choices:

Owls (has a super cute applique on Amazon that matches this too!)

Love Bird
Neutral Choices:

Animal Parade

Treetop Friends
I honestly could just make this easier on myself and not worry about it until I know what I am having but honestly, where is the fun in that?? Plus I like planning things out. I hate feeling overwhelmed and honestly with baby stuff, its VERY easy to feel that way!!

So whatcha think? Cast your votes below. I know I have my favorite but would love to see what you all think!

On the menu tonight is Chicken Ceaser Sandwiches. Should be interesting to see how well I eat since after I am done eating, I have to rinse my mouth out. Fun times huh? Whatcha having for dinner?

Hope you lovies are having a good day!!

Not going to be overly Momma-ish...

First I will share a new belly picture. I was feeling like I was getting bigger and apparently, I am. I am huge already and I am not even halfway there!! LOL

15 weeks, don't I look thrilled?
I could have managed a smile BUT I am in lots of pain currently. My wisdom teeth were never extracted and they are now forcing their way up into my mouth. Well my dentist want's to use the most of my limited dental coverage (1200$ for the year) and he was going to yank my back molars and let me wisdom teeth become my back molars (Note: all 4 of my wisdom teeth are coming in beautifully apparently). WELL the one on the bottom right has NOWHERE to go so its been coming up against my back molar. I needed to get them all pulled BUT I got pregnant and that didn't work out as planned. Friday night, my tooth shattered. The wisdom tooth has completely pushed its way up and yeah no beuno. So today at 1pm I am getting it yanked...fun times. Not.

I've decided to not get all Momma-ish gooey on here. Figure once a week I will post something that I want to post (like one week about cribs, one week about strollers, one week about paint swatches LOL) and be done with it. Plus it works out too cause there are some things I am just completely indecisive about (like the crib) and its nice to have a neutral opinion about it all :D

Not sure what is on the menu tonight...I know for me it will be Jello, Pudding, Soup, Applesauce. Sounds exciting doesn't it??

Tune of the day:
