Juice Cleanse Recipes and Shopping List

So my recipe and my shopping list is prepped and ready to go. I didn't do this, H did it for us. I am also adding this to the appliance cabinet:

Day 1
BREAKFAST
Carrot Apple Ginger
-3 carrots
-2 Apple's
- 1" piece of ginger

MIDMORNING SNACK AND LUNCH
Mean Green Juice
-1 cucumber
-4 celery stalks
-2 apples
-8 kale leaves
-1/2 lemon
-1" piece of ginger

AFTERNOON SNACK AND DINNER
Citrus Inspired Green Juice
-8 kale leaves
-8 leaves Swiss chard
-1 cucumber
-6 clementines

Day 2

BREAKFAST
Purple Power Juice
-6C red grapes
-1 Apple
-2" piece of ginger
-1/2C blackberries

MIDMORNING SNACK
Green Lemonade
-1 green apple
-2C spinach
-8 kale leaves
-1/2 cucumber
-1/2 lemon

LUNCH
V28
(This recipe calls for 2 beets and 12 radishes, but eww and radishes are spicy so I changed it)
-2 carrots
-2 celery stalks
-4 plum tomatoes
-4C parsley
-6 radishes

AFTERNOON SNACK
Spinach Fennel Cucumber
-1 fennel bulb
-1 cucumber
-3 celery stalks
-3C spinach

DINNER
Bountiful Brassica Juice
-2 broccoli stalks (save florets for clean eating)
-1/2 head of cabbage
-8 kale leaves
-1 Apple
-1/4 lemon (peeled)
-1" piece of ginger

Day 3

BREAKFAST
Carrot Apple Ginger from Day 1

MIDMORNING SNACK
Great Greens Juice
-2 green apples
-2C spinach
-6C Swiss chard
-1 cucumber
-4 celery stalks
-1/2 fennel bulb
-1 bunch basil

LUNCH
Citrus Inspired Green Juice from Day 1

AFTERNOON SNACK
Green Lemonade from Day 2

DINNER
Green Juice
-2C kale
-2C spinach
-1/2 cucumber
-4 celery stalks
-2 Apple's
-1" piece of ginger

And the grocery list is SCARY!! LOL

50 kale leaves
5 lemons
32 Swiss chard leaves
12 Clementine
5C red grapes

The story of how a 5 month old brought the entire house down...

So Little Miss ended up with a cold. I was thinking it was probably our early morning walks or the possibility that she was exposed to Croup at a Cub Scout Field Trip...who knows. Either way, it hit her hard. Like hard hard. Then when she started spiking fevers (yet according to the nurse a 102 isn't a fever?) they checked her ears and poor thing had an ear infection...again. One more in a month or two more this year and she will be sent to an ENT specialist :( 

Then Little Man got a horrible cold and cough. He ended up passing out during his studies. So we took a week off of school and I just let him rest. I made him miss Awana's which he was none too happy about but I wanted him to relax and rest. Sure thing, by Thursday he was like new again.

Then Other Chef got it. Bad. Coughing, fevers, etc. THEN Tall Guy came down with something and I was like WOW she even took down another household?? But nope, it was just food poisoning. Yuck.

Then yesterday, I came down with it. Mine seems to have only lasted 24 hours for the worst part of it but I have been battling a runny nose and some body aches for about a week now. Yesterday I was in so much pain, joints hurt, body aches, coughing, etc. I felt like I was dying. It was horrible. After about 9 hours of sleep though I am feeling mucho better so hoping I completely knocked this crap out of my body.

So a couple weeks ago H goes "Holly, I'm doing a 103 day challenge starting April 1st. And you're doing it with me. Won't take no for an answer." Okay...what am I getting myself into? 

Well its quite...simple. LOL

3 days we are doing a juice cleanse. That I am kinda apprehensive about. Some of it looks really delicious, some of it, not so much. I was told that I am going to be staving for 3 days and will be bitchy. LOL Probably.

Then the other 100 days we are doing clean eating. We both read on various sites that if you sick with it for 90 days, you will never turn back. That I am still reading about but I know some of you ladies have amazing recipes and some good insight about it. 

And in addition to that, 5 days a week, we are staying active at least an hour a day. Be it elliptical, walking, running, dancing, something! 

So we shall see!

As I sit here drinking my 4th Cup of Coffee...

Wow it's been a minute since I last posted! 

I started walking every other day at the lake near my house. If I walk there from my house, its 1.97 miles total (there and back). Little Man walks with me so honestly I think 2 miles a day isn't bad at all for us. When I am alone or just with Little Miss, we walk 2.97. Feels really good and the weather is starting to get so nice.



Or is it? 

The rain is back in full force.

Little Miss is sick.

I am exhausted all.the.time.

Yeah. 

Suck.

Nothing new is going on. Other than I finally said screw this and decided to make a therapy appointment. I have felt super depressed lately. Not sure what all is going on other than I think its just a case of PPD. I am stressed for sure and have a lot on my plate. But that has never really affected me like this before. I cry a lot. I get hard on myself. Its getting ridiculous. So I am gonna try and get better. I have to you know? I have two kiddos I need to be semi sane for ;-P

Spring is almost here...blah. I hate that whole spring ahead crap. Barf.
